Welcome to the USS Pendragon!
Welcome to the USS Pendragon, an Excalibur-Refit class Multiplatform Simulation.
Under the command of Captain Vokar and Lieutenant Commander Gabarus, the Pendragon is one of a new generation of ships, a development sim within UCIP, the Pendragon is part of Taskforce 2.1 "Bravo", we aim to provide a great environment to sim, both via Nova and IRC.
Currently our IRC room can be found on irc.kdfs.net at #USS-Pendragon, we hope to see you soon!
With the Romulan's entering their own period of instability and the Tholians proving to be a threat, Stafleet has taken a ship due to be decomissioned, renamed her and under the command of a former Starfleet Intelligence officer have sent her to the far edges of Federation space, the uncharted worlds close to the Cardassian and Ferengi borders, on this frontier, the rules have been blurred, further and further out, corruption and greed rule.
Can the new crew of the USS Pendragon tame this uncharted region of space? Will the Ferengi prove to be a problem? Or will the Cardassians take offense to Starfleet snooping around again?
That's what we intend to find out!

Commanding Officer's Address.
Alright guys, we've had a pretty good week, lets keep things going!
As you may have noticed, there have been a few changes, Lieutenant Commander Gabarus has been reduced to inactive for the near future and we've put out a call for applications for a new Executive Officer, we wish him all the best and hope he returns in the future.
Congratulate Scarlet and Chewie on their promotions and awards, they are both excellent simmers and have proven their worth to the sim with consistent quality logging and participation.
From now on, things will be moving forward at a good pace and people will be rewarded for their patience and activity.
Anyway, lets keep it going guys and girls!

Commanding Officer's Address.
Again, I start this with an apology, I've been slacking when it comes to reports over the last month or so, personally I've not been in a great place but I'm hoping that things are beginning to pick up in the near future.
I am still slightly disappointed in the lack of activity recently, but we're making a little improvement, this week sees us pulled into a different area of space, a planet now before us where the object was.
Science, work on identifying where we are and how we got here, work with Tactical to analyse the sensor data if needs be.
Engineering, there are still bound to be a few malfunctions happening throughout the ship, work on repairing them.
Medical, there are always injuries after an ordeal like the one we've been through, mostly minor, work on treating them please.
I'd ideally like to see logs off everyone this week, so lets get some energy going into the sim!

I know this might sound a bit annoying as I have mentioned it a few times over the last couple of weeks, but I'm finding the lack of logs worrying, I shouldn't need to be holding your hands and forcing every angle of the plot, you, as a group, should be able to write your own logs to add your own dimensions to the plot.
Of course I do have an idea of where I want things to go, but if I wanted to write it all myself, I would, I'd either do it by myself in a novel format or as a side project.
What I want is for you guys to actively take part, even when my activity slows down, you guys should be able to amuse yourselves with Character Development, that's what backlogs are for, to explore different facets of your character, what do they do in their downtime? Have they got a favorite holonovel? Do they like spending time in the lounge? The Arbouretum? The Library? Have they got a secret love? Have they got a project they are working on? Perhaps an experimental upgrade to a specific piece of kit or a system? Their own holographic entity?
As a CO, I cannot always keep everyone on the crew involved in the main plot all of the time, it just isn't possible without making everything super complicated and convoluted, I need you guys to be able to log independently and so far, there are only a couple of the crew who I can truly trust to do that without me having to babysit them.
You might begin to place the blame at my feet, because I am a substandard CO, but I am constantly trying to keep things moving and it brings me down when I see a lack of activity because it feels like a lack of interest, it feels like you guys do not like writing your characters, like simming here is a chore rather than a hobby.
Personally, when I feel that I don't enjoy writing for my character, I stop writing for them, full stop, I change my focus and try something new, I explore other avenues or I introduce a new facet to them, a new personal subplot.
I'm sorry if some of you feel this is unfair, but I believe it needed to be said, I want to begin seeing more from you guys, especially the ones holding Department Head positions, I expect better from you and at this rate, we will never make it out of development because I do not feel that you are strong enough as a crew to log independently.
